Balasundaram belongs to Devar Films family. Devar Films is known for producing films which had M G R , Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan in the cast.
Now for the first time Balasundaram’s son-in-law R K Suresh is producing a film . This film has been titled as Thambi Kottai. Narain is doing the lead role while Poonam Bajwa is pairing with him. Prabhu and Meena are doing important roles. Sangeetha, Kausalya, Aarthi, M S Bhaskar, Santhanam, Kanga Karuppu, Manobala, Alex, Rajendran, Crane Manohar and Muthukalai are also starring in this film.
D Imman is composing the music while Kannan handles the camera. R Ammu Ramesh who won the gold medal in the film institute for directing a short film titled Ammu is directing Thambi Kottai. He was also an assistant of Jayam Raja.
Ammub Ramesh Hs has also written the story, screenplay and dialogues. The shooting of the film is to take place in Chennai, Hyderabad, Kulu Manali, Pollachi, Kumbakonam, Pattukottai and Dindigul.
