This film has been declared as super hit in the film trade circle. The reason of the success of this film in Andhra Pradesh is attributed to Selvaraghavan.
He became quite popular there because of the dubbed Telugu version of the Tamil film 7 G Rainbow Colony and Telugu film Aadavari Matalaku Ardhaalu Verule. This Telugu film was released in 2007. Seeing the success of Aayirathil Oruvan in Telugu, the producer who distributed this film is dubbing the classic Paruthiveeran in Telugu with the title Palnati Veerudu.
