Hindi Cinema has witnessed a bloom of one more golden era at the present age. Gone are those days of B-Town Mumbaikars being interested in romantic entertainers with most of them canned across foreign locales. But the last few months have been disapproving of such motifs with brilliantly spectacular flicks topping on charts.

Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Paa’, Aamir Khan’s ‘3 Idiots’ and Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘My Name is Khan’ have eclipsed even the biggest Tamil films of this season.Aamir Khan’s ‘3 Idiots’ loosely based on Chetan Bhagat’s ‘Five Point Someone’ was ennobled as best film for it unbelievable record-breaking collection inChennai alone. The film witnessed house-packed shows consecutively for 25days, which is something unusual here.

Similarly, Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Paa’ was very well received amongst Chennaites, sincethe film had a pleasant surprise for buffs with English subtitles. Appositely, the film attracted larger crowds of non-Hindi speaking cohorts as well. And now, we have Bollywood’s Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan striking off the biggest deal globally with his ‘My Name is Khan’.

The film is produced by Shah Rukh Khan himself in collaboration with Fox Star Studios, Fox Searchlight Pictures and Karan Johar.Much prior to the film ’s release, the entire town was so excited about ‘MNIK’ as it brings back SRK-Kajol 9 long years after the success of ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ with Karan Johar. And now, there are more reasons why you should ‘My Name is Khan’.

The film partially reminiscences of Forrest Gump with Tom Hanks embarking a heart-touching quest of love and Shah Rukh just sweep us off with his mind-boggling performance.
